Complicated Divorce Completed Fast in Dauphin County

17.03.2021 in Divorce

Our client was seriously ill and needed a divorce as quickly as possible. Despite some complicated financial issues, like real estate, pensions, and 401ks, we secured a favorable marital settlement agreement within a week and completed the divorce just a few days after the mandatory 90-day waiting period expired. While our client kept her entire pension, the husband assumed a substantial amount of credit card debt.

Dauphin County Child Custody Case

10.03.2021 in Child Custody

When a father challenged the custody arrangement for his son, attorney Czekaj stepped in to represent the mother. This was the third time in three years the father made such a challenge, this time alleging that his school district was statistically superior to the mother’s. Despite these claims, we successfully defended the mother’s primary custody and the child stayed put.

Settlement in Civil Case for Damaged Property

We recently helped a property owner in a Perry County civil lawsuit after a timber company overstepped the bounds of a contract regarding trees to be timbered. This allegedly caused too many trees to harvested and damage to the landowner’s property. Attorney Czekaj visited the property and met with an expert forester to assess the situation. Eventually, we negotiated a favorable settlement to compensate the landowner for trees wrongfully harvested and damage to his property.

Felony Fraud Impressively Resolved with ARD

04.03.2021 in Criminal Defense, Expungements

In Franklin County, we assisted a single mother after being criminally charged with Fraudulent Receipt of Benefits. The woman was struggling and receiving food and medical benefits, but was charged with felony and misdemeanor charges for receiving benefits for a period of time after becoming employed.

Attorney Czekaj relentlessly negotiated to allow his client into the ARD program, even though her participation would be contrary to the DA’s policy to allow ARD for felony offenses. Ultimately, she was admitted into ARD, successfully completed the program, and later had her charges dismissed and expunged.

Czekaj also assisted with the expungement process following the ARD completion, which spared her from being a convicted felon. In the end, she kept her job and was able to provide for her children.
